Poem 4 Bernie

One of my passions in my free time is to write poetry, so I decided to sit down and write a short poem in support of Bernie.

Trump told us to fear the Mexicans here, 

And be terrified of the Muslims over there. 

Clinton says she'll fight for the people, 

But the money leads elsewhere. 

The GOP is painting a nightmare, 

As they preach all out warfare. 

And the poor stay poor, 

As a millionaire becomes a billionaire. 

But somewhere out of the mist came something rare, 

Someone who didn't compare. 

Bernie came and spoke for the people, 

And brought along free healthcare. 

He told climate change denier to beware, 

He tells the justice system that it's time to be fair. 

He wants to legalize marijuana, 

And knows it's time for the rich to pay their share. 

So as Clinton and the GOP try to lead us nowhere, 

Bernie helps the crippled America out of it's wheelchair.
