ISIS Declared War On Islam

June 28, an ISIS suicide bomber and shooter attacked an airport in Istanbul, killing over 40 people and injuring over 200.

July 1st, ISIS took hostages in a cafe in Bangladesh, killing over 20 people (mainly foreigners), 2 of which were local police officers.

July 3rd, an ISIS truck bomb killed over 160 and injured over 220 in Baghdad.

And today, July 4th, ISIS suicide bombers attacked the holy city of Medina. The last four attacks leading back to ISIS were all carried out in countries mainly inhabited by people of the Islamic faith. ISIS has full out declared war on peaceful Muslims.

We've heard the GOP carry the phrase of "Radical-Islam" loudly and proudly, but can we really still call them that? They go into Muslim countries and carry out dangerous attacks which result in civilian casualties of ordinary Muslim citizens. The attack on Medina was carried out as millions of Muslims in Saudi Arabia prepared to celebrate the holiday of Ramadan.

ISIS attacked a Muslim nation in a sacred city on a sacred holiday. ISIS is not Islam. ISIS is a radical terrorist cult bent on nothing but destruction.

Yes, you can argue that ISIS has Islamic roots, but they forfeit their rights as Muslims when they mercilessly slaughtered countless Muslims to attempt to achieve whatever their twisted goal is. ISIS simply will kill whoever gets in their way, regardless of heritage or background.

There are many paths we can take to fight ISIS, from coalition, to simple changes in foreign policy to the Middle East. It's time the world sits down together, put their differences aside, and talk about how they can defeat the threat that is ISIS.

It's long overdue for us to stop scapegoating Muslims and start getting serious about how to deal with ISIS. ISIS is killing Muslims, Christians, Jews, and anybody else that gets in their way.

It's ISIS against the world, and the world is much larger than ISIS. If we stand together, we can stop them. Now is the time to unify and stand together against the pure evil that is ISIS.
