16 Things You Can Do To Support Bernie in 2016

It is officially 2016, election year. Bernie Sanders' campaign has to continuously push even harder to get their positive message and plan out to the voters while constantly being ignored by the mainstream media. Here are some things YOU can do to support Bernie in 2016.

  1. This is simple and pretty basic, go to https://go.berniesanders.com and donate if you can and sign up for volunteering with Bernie's actual campaign.
  2. Register to vote in the primaries! If Bernie loses to Hillary in the primaries this will all have been for nothing, be sure you properly register and then go and vote!
  3. Be active on social media about Bernie. Having a political opinion can lead to a lot of arguments on Twitter and Facebook, but try to argue in a logical, rational way based on facts and consider that every person you argue with can be turned into a Bernie supporter.
  4. Talk to all your family about Bernie. I have a conservative uncle who hates Bernie, but we talked long and hard about the issue. Your family loves and respects you, get them to see what you see.
  5. Talk to your neighbors about Bernie, winning over a general area is a major key to success in a election, get your neighbors to vote for Bernie and that's a big boost.
  6. Get younger people involved, if you have family and friends who will be eligible to vote for a president for the first time be sure to get them excited for Bernie.
  7. Wear Bernie products and put Bernie stickers on your car and signs in your yard. If people see more Bernie signs then any other, they'll think Bernie is a majority and be more likely to look into him and support him.
  8. If you are a young adult voting for the first time in support of Bernie, talk to your friends about Bernie and get them to vote for him too!
  9. If you get the chance to see Bernie speak at a rally, attend it.
  10. Watch the next Democratic Debates.
  11. Continue to fight against the injustice of the DNC, Schultz needs to get out.
  12. Make your own blog in support for Bernie, there's only so much you can say in one tweet, but if you're knowledgeable you can sum it up in blog posts as thoroughly as you like.
  13. Have fun with politics, don't be all cut and dry, make people laugh.
  14. Reach out to your local media, try and get them to cover Bernie.
  15. Reach out to celebrities through social media, I've reached out to a few that followed back to my Twitter, but if more people try the celebrities might notice and give endorsements.
  16. Continue showing your support as the year goes on. Don't slow down, don't let your voice die out. Bernie will change America for the better, be part of that change.
